01Overview
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Linkfor uses, what they do, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers the broader question of how we handle personal data.
A “cookie” is a small text file a site stores in your browser. “Similar technologies” cover local storage, session storage, and pixel tags that achieve the same thing. We only use what we need, and we do not share cookies with ad networks.
02The categories we use
Strictly necessary. Required for the Service to work. These cannot be turned off because the Service cannot run without them. No consent is required under GDPR ePrivacy rules.
Functional. Remember preferences you set (e.g. sidebar collapsed state). Only set after you interact with the relevant control.
Analytics. Linkfor’s tenant-site pageview counter is cookie-free: the optional beacon posts an aggregate count to our servers and does not place any cookie or build per-visitor fingerprints. We list it here for transparency — there is nothing to opt out of at the cookie level.
Advertising. We do not run ads and we do not set advertising cookies.
03What we actually set
The concrete list below is what a current Linkfor deployment can set. Exact names and lifetimes can change as we upgrade dependencies; the categories and purposes do not.

04Third-party cookies
When you complete a purchase through Polar, their checkout domain may set cookies required to process the payment. Those cookies are set by Polar directly and are covered by their Privacy Policy. We do not embed third-party trackers, ad pixels, or social widgets on Linkfor.
05Your choices
Because we do not set advertising cookies and our analytics are cookie-free, we do not currently display a cookie consent banner. You can still control cookies through your browser:
- Block or delete cookies for this site from your browser settings.
- Use your browser’s private / incognito mode to prevent persistent storage between sessions.
- Honour-Do-Not-Track and Global Privacy Control signals — we respect them and will not attempt to re-establish identifiers across visits if your browser sends them.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in; the dashboard will not be able to keep you logged in.
06Changes to this policy
We update this policy when we change the cookies we use. The current version is always available at this URL with a new “Last updated” date at the top.
